Grant J. Bercari is a senior associate in the Firm’s Litigation & Dispute Resolution and Employment Law Groups. He represents clients in complex, high-stakes litigation, including business disputes, antitrust, securities, and financial services matters, as well as related appellate proceedings. His practice spans federal and state courts and emphasizes strategic case development, trial-focused discovery, and dispositive motion practice.

ILLUSTRATIVE PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

  • Representing a land-development LLC in an action to expel a member for failure to fund capital calls and interference with company operations. Second-chaired bifurcated bench trials on expulsion and the valuation of the dissociated member’s interest.
  • Representing diversified institutional asset managers as interim co-lead counsel in an antitrust class-action against major financial data companies concerning U.S. financial instruments identifiers (CUSIP numbers).
  • Representing institutional investors in actions asserting securities violations, breach of contract, and tort claims arising from investments in residential mortgage‐backed securities.
  • Represented a bankruptcy litigation trustee in actions against underwriters alleging fraud, aiding and abetting, conspiracy, and negligent misrepresentation.

EDUCATION

Grant received his J.D., cum laude, from St. John’s University School of Law in 2017, where he was a senior staff member of St. John’s Law Review. He received his B.A. in Biology from Hobart College in 2013.
