Grant J. Bercari is an associate in the Firm’s Litigation & Dispute Resolution Group. He represents clients in a broad range of complex civil litigation, including antitrust, securities litigation, financial services litigation, business disputes, and related appellate matters. Grant has experience in federal and state courts with emphasis on legal strategy, developing effective discovery, and motion practice.

Illustrative Professional Experience

  • Representing a diversified institutional asset manager in an antitrust class-action against the American Bankers Association, FactSet Research Systems Inc., and S&P Global, Inc. for engaging in anticompetitive conduct in the market for financial instruments identifiers.
  • Representing institutional investors asserting securities violations, breach of contract, and tort claims in actions to recover losses on investments in residential mortgage‐backed securities.
  • Representation of a New Jersey member-managed LLC in an action to expel one of the members for failing to make capital calls and interfering with the company’s mortgage loan refinancing.
  • Representation of a bankruptcy trustee pursuing claims against underwriters for fraud, aiding and abetting, conspiracy to defraud and negligent misrepresentation, and against an accounting firm for fraudulent and negligent misrepresentation.

EDUCATION

Grant received his J.D., cum laude, from St. John’s University School of Law in 2017, where he was a senior staff member of St. John’s Law Review. He received his B.A. in Biology from Hobart College in 2013.
